A
modified CB400F can handle a set of 29mm CR Keihin Racing Carbs, but price
and lack of idle circuits are a major problem for a street bike. Let us
bore your stock carbs to 24 mm. The stock venture is actually oval shaped
measuring 16.5 mm wide x 21.5 mm high. The theory being that the narrow width
keeps the gas velocity high at small throttle openings, and the extra
height exposes more area at wide open throttle, acting like a larger carb.
We widen and heighten the venturi on a CNC mill, and then smooth the exit
transition during a second operation on a CNC lathe. |

the starter motor to save weight is left with a hole in the crankcase. Our
CNC machined plug is made of 6061-T6 aluminum, and utilizes the stock
o-ring to make an effective seal. Requires drilling a 1/4" diameter
hole in cases to secure the plug. |
